Why MCP matters
MCP lets agents request structured Nool context, findings, and workflow state instead of loading broad file context.
Connect your agent
nool hooks mcp registers Nool's MCP server in an agent's MCP config: the project's, or with --global your user config, where it also installs the Nool skill. --remove takes out only Nool's entry.
- Agents: claude, cursor, gemini, windsurf, opencode
- The server is nool-mcp --stdio, serving the directory the agent starts it in
nool hooks mcp --agent cursor
nool hooks mcp --agent claude --globalUse repository memory
Agents should prefer compact Nool context and findings over raw file dumps when resuming work.
