Nool Quickstart

Start with nool init, inspect current repository state, discover feature boundaries, and create a scoped semantic proposal after implementation.

  • Initialize Nool without replacing Git.
  • Discover feature boundaries before agent work begins.
  • Use propose and solidify to accept governed changes.

Initialize the repository deliberately

Use `nool init --from-git main` for an existing repository and `git init` plus `nool init` for a fresh one. Nool creates a local semantic ledger without replacing Git.

Inspect the first-run state

Run the built-in quickstart and status surfaces before proposing anything. On a brand-new repo, Nool may have created `.gitignore`, `.noolignore`, and `.gitattributes` as bootstrap files.

Map boundaries before the first real change

Use feature discovery to understand modules before asking an agent to make changes.
