Enterprise, in writing
Everything a procurement review asks for is part of the contract, not an add-on ladder. Seats are priced per engineer from a 50-seat floor. Source escrow: if Nool stops trading or supporting the product, you receive the source. Offline and air-gapped licences, no hub in the loop. Audit evidence export for your own auditors. Custom DPA and MSA. SLA support with a named engineer.
Prices and tax
Prices are in USD per engineer seat and exclude tax — sales tax or VAT is calculated from your location and added at checkout. Agents, CI runners and MCP sessions are never counted. Licences verify offline.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Nool open source?
- Nool is commercial software. Community is free forever. Enterprise contracts include source escrow, so if Nool ever stops trading or stops supporting the product, you receive the source.
- What does Community include?
- The whole single-player product: propose and solidify, every gate, tasks, threads, context, blast radius, try branches, the Git mirror and the MCP server. The limits are one engineer, one device and 1,000 knots a rolling month. Agents, CI runners and MCP sessions are unlimited.
- How does the Team trial work?
- Try Team free for 30 days with no card and no sales call: install Nool, then run nool admin account trial. The trial runs on your machine with every Team command; when it ends the binary degrades to Community rather than locking you out.
- Are agents really free?
- Yes. A seat is an engineer who holds a licence. The agents, CI runners and MCP sessions working on their behalf are not counted on any edition.
- Does my code or my licence leave my machine?
- Your code never leaves. Licences are signed tokens that verify offline; the hub only issues and renews them. Enterprise contracts add air-gapped licences with no hub in the loop. Anonymous usage telemetry is optional and switched off with nool telemetry.
- What is the difference between Team and Enterprise?
- Team is the coordination surface for 1 to 50 engineers: scope leases, agent fleets, playbooks, task import and MCP handoff, bought self-serve. Enterprise starts at 50 seats and adds workspace roll-ups across repositories, audit evidence export, policy packs, the Command Centre control plane, offline licences, source escrow, a custom DPA and MSA and SLA support.
- How is Team billed?
- Per seat, monthly at $59 or annually at $49 a month, for 1 to 50 seats. Paddle is the merchant of record and handles VAT and invoices. Add or remove seats at any time and cancel from your Paddle receipt.
- Are licence purchases refundable?
- You can request a full refund within 14 days of any charge — email help@nool.dev or use your Paddle receipt — and cancel anytime to stop renewals. There's also a 30-day Team trial (cancel before it ends, no charge) and a free Community edition to try first.
- What about startups, open source and non-profits?
- Community is free forever for anyone. Five engineering teams join the design-partner cohort each round: a one-month paid Enterprise pilot, then 40% off Nool CLI licensing for life, in return for a logo, a reference call and roadmap feedback. Apply through the contact form.
